why?

when?

for whom?

for the guys...do you hold back the tears?(to not seem weak)...do you ever fake tears?

for the women...do guys that cry seem weak to you?

damn- lots of questions...sorry but y'all know me...

wow....good thread

yes, i cry....you certainly know i do dave *S*

when, why, for whom?

whenever my emotions boil over, for so many reasons....but the for whom....that's the hardest part to answer

i cry for many people...for my parents who have been through a lot health-wise.... for my own hurt when i'm betrayed or rejected or attacked....for the lil fi who grew up too fast....for my pets i've lost along the way when i remember them...for people close to me i love so much when they are in pain...for dogs in cages in markets when i see pictures of that...i cry at some movies too...and i cry when it feels like there's no purpose in going on (nowadays a very rare thing, i'm glad to say *S*)

and there are so many different types of crying....the grief cry, the quiet sob, the crying when you need to scream along with it, the one where you have hot tears coursing down your cheeks and a lump in your throat but without any sounds, the tears caused by so much pain that when you awake your eyes immediately start to 'leak'

i don't cry about anything work related...NEVER EVER EVER, i don't cry when confronted, i don't cry when challenged...i cry when i'm hurt, when i feel unloved, when i feel unlovable, when i lose someone...whether physically or emotionally...when i let someone down

men crying....YES...please cry....don't be a crybaby (i have the same rule for women though *L*) but it's so important to have that release for grief and hurt and pain ...i have more respect for a man who will openly cry when he's in pain or is hurting badly over an emotional issue, than a man who holds it all in...and hell, cry at the movies with me for goodness sake *S*

i stand by something i often say....that tears are the salve of the soul...they help us survive heart-shattering loss, they help us grieve, they help us move on, they help us to be human

fake tears? crikey that's as bad as faking an orgasm....i believe one should NEVER fake any kind of emotion

do I cry....... this is the question...

um YES..... for awhile...at almost every feeling i had....

but I agree..it's a healthy release of your emotions...... especially when you look at what is making you cry....

now I cry over things in a way... that are much healthier.... no whoa is me tears anymore.. fighter tears... tears of injustice to some things... tears of anger in others...

but not pity tears..

and that feels much healthier

The last 3 years have been extremely tough - betrayed by family, friends and employeers. I seemed to have cried endlessly for days....

I'm finding the emotional pain is slowly starting to disappear, the tears don't appear as often. But there will always be a part of my heart that is vulnerable to pain and that's when the tears will erupt. I'll cry out in silence, almost like some wild animal caught in a trap no one can hear...it's a horrible feeling - the feeling of hopelessness.

Red face

~hugs my Meow~ real tight, and whispers in your ear that it WILL all work out.
PETE,, i am very sorry to hear of your nephew, you are in my thoughts.
For me, well, as many of ya who really know me.....HELL, YES I CRY *L*
I cry when one of my family members is sick/sad,,,,,same goes with my friends wether it's r/t, or v/t.
I cry sometimes, when I am feeling too sick to move, and wonder why i have to go thru this sh**. (selfish , i guess) but at least i am being honest.
I cry over certain stories on the news,,people losing their lives, and the media has it's cameras shoved down the throats of the victims families sobbing.
I cry EVERY time, one of our men or women serving our country, has been announced dead on tv.....like it's not a big deal........that's when i really cry.
I cry when i feel fu*** over by people, and ask myself how, and why i have let it happen again and again , in my 36 years.
I like Fi's saying about the tears being the salve to ones soul.
Crying helps, it's a release.
It helps us ( i believe) from moving past being sad, to another level of emotion.
AS far as the man thing and not crying.......that disturbs the heck out of me, always has always will.
It is NOT, a shameful thing for a man to cry..we are ALL human, and, i think very highly of men who are not into the "macho" part of not "allowing" themself to be seen crying.
Granted, many men were raised that way, soooooooo.....
But i LOVE when a man cries, it makes them that much more real.
I cry when i lose a friend,,,,,it hurts the soul.
When yer friends with someone, and then,,,,,well, *SPLAT*........suddenly yer not friends anymore.
That is sad, and that makes me cry, and i can LITERALLY feel my heart ache.
My heart has been aching alot these days......ugh!!
And on that note......I shall sign off.
~hugs~
